Approval notice after approval e-mail

Hi,
I have received I-485 approval emails and GCs in Febraury. However, I have not received formal approval notices. Are we supposed to receive them or just plain GC is all we get.
 
I have the same situation. Asked my lawyer and was told that I don't need appoval notice (for ex. when applying for Citizenship only card is requiered)

Don't know if it's normal or not, let me know if you think that approval notice is good for something.

Did your approval message mention that card has been ordered or just that the approval notice has been mailed? I'm a bit confused about the difference in approval messages at different service centers...
 
My online case status as below:

"This case has been approved. On February 28, 2006, an approval notice was mailed. If 30 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please speak to an Immigration Information Officer during business hours."

I have not received the approval letters, however I got the cards.
Card may be sufficient, but if we lose them I think approval notice will be useful to claim a replacement card.

I would like to know if any one who got approved recently received both card and approval notice.

You don't need I-485 approval to get replacement cards. You can get the replacement by filing a specific form (i bellieve its I-90) and writting your A# in it.
