Approval in reference with RFE and 2ndFP

Looks like people who respond to RFE in the recent days get approved. IF you had received and responded to RFE like 6 months ago, you are out of luck. I had responded to my RFE in DEC 2002 and INS recvd it on Dec 18 2002. I got my 2nd FP notice in May 2003 and I did it before scheduled date on May 23 2003, but still haven't heard of anything. Is there any one who is in similar situation..

WAC02041
FP: Jan. 2002
RFE received Dec. 11, 2002

Once I was told my case was assigned in May, but no results yet.

That is true, based on the wac02046 scanner, there were around 30-40 cases, who had RFE's around before the absolute freeze. Those dudes are still waiting, and people got RFE's after them and got approved.

Another observation, very few new cases are being picked up anymore.

It appears to me that in a sea of unapproved applications, BCIS officers pick a few on the top and the unlucky few are getting buried further .. and further ... and further ... .. and further ..

Come to think of it, why should a BCIS officer pick up a wac02100 application when a wac0250 is completely untouched?? Well because wac02100 is sitting on top and easier to pick ..

The scanner results are getting more and more depressing everyday. Now you get so many days with ABSOLUTELY zero activity whatsoever.

Still waiting
Wac-01-286-XXXXX
RD September 17, 2001
FP done May 30, 2002
RFE received Aug. 4, 2002
RFE respond received by INS Nov. 1 2002 (almost 8 month from respond)
Last time I called they said case has been assigned on June 4, 2003)

Looking at Kasmir's scan i get the feeling that the IIO's have been
divided into ranges
like for WAC02-001 - WAC02-100 one set of IIO's
WAC02-101 - WAC02-200 one set of IIO's
WAC02-201 ---- another set

So that is the reason we are seeing the approvals and touched cases all over the place.....Just my views
