Approval for CSC->NSC Case ONLY

Hi guys,

I have been a silent spectator on these forums for the last few years.
The last few weeks have been especially tense since I saw many cases whose PD/RD later than mine getting approved. I had also missed the bus in mid-2005 as I was stuck in name check at that time.

I had talked to NSC IOs a few times in the last couple of weeks, and they had all said that my case is one of the 18000 cases that would be cleared before end of Sept. One told me that my case is under review and another told me that it had been assigned to an officer and that I should wait for 60 days before talking to them again.

To make the long story short, I got the approval notice for my case yesterday. Also received the card ordered notices for my spouse and son.

I cannot describe how much comfort I got from all the encouraging words that were said in the forums. I am sure that many of you with RDs in 2004 would be getting your cards soon. Wish you guys all the best.

Card Production Ordered

Guys,

I recieved from email from USCIS about my pending I-485 today.

"On July 12, 2007, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow
30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from
you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call
customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we
process your case. Just follow the link below to register."

Does this mean that my GC has already been approved. If yes, how long will it take to recieve GC after recieve this email from today.

My Lawyer says it does mean that my GC has been approved and I should recieve my GC card in next 30 days.

Thanks,
Law Love Alien

njreddy,
Thank you. I was able to talk to a live person but am not sure it was an IO. Anyways, the lady was very courteous and said that my application is waiting to be assigned to an officer. At any one time the officer will have 500 applications on his desk and wanted me call back after 60 days.
As regards the visa no. she cannot comment on individual cases but acknowledged that all the security/name checks/fingerprinting are all cleared in my case. I guess i need to wait for another 60 days then...

I just called NSC and talked to a nice lady. She said they received my RFE and my case is in-transit to an officer. Let's see...

Yes, it was with an officer. It looks like when they issue RFE, they actully move the case back to wherever the case used to be. After they received the RFE, they need to order it back and reassign to the officer. Who knows.

I just talked to IO this morning. I was told my case is with an officer for review now. She's not sure if visa number was assigned or not. She said giving them 30 days.

I mentioned visa number are all current now since the bulletin was revised. She said they have used ALL their visa numbers . Maybe that's why there were no approvals for the past weeks.
