My wife scheduled an appointment today for my in-laws. When she did the DS-160 application for them she said Montreal was the city they where going to apply for their visas. However, when she went to schedule an appointment in Montreal the next date available was in August. So she instead looked at Quebec City and was able to get an appointment for a date in 3 weeks. When I did a Google search I saw something on the internet that said the officer at the other location can still pull up the application by scanning the barcode.
Has anyone had an experence like this of saying one city on the DS-160 then having to apply in another? Was the officer able to pull up their application based on scanning the barcode? Where they given a hard time at the interview for having the appointment in a different city then what was stated on the DS-160?
