Appointment in Delhi instead of Chennai

Hi,

I need an appointment for my inlaws sometime after november and before january. But Chennai is all booked up. Even though they fall under chennai consulate, can I book an appointment in delhi.

They have never applied for a Visa.

Need your advice. Please reply ASAP.

Hi

Generally the Delhi consulate does not allow visitor visa applicants to take up the interview in delhi if they belong to a different jurisdiction, but eventually my friends parents-in-laws got their visa from delhi. Your folks must be able to talk in English with no previous US visa rejections on their passport. Even in Delhi appointment dates are available only aftre 2nd week of Jan 2006, i hope it helps your situation.Try your luck and if they succeed keep all of us posted.

Thanks for the quick reply.

The web site is not very helpful since all it has is an 'N' for all of Feb and March. Anyway I guess its a waiting game.
