Applying spousal GC from India

Hi,

1) I am planning to get married in India. Can I send the spouse GC application to INS in USA address, while I am in India? That way I will not waste any time in filing the GC application.

2) After I return to USA alone, when my spouse is called for GC interview later, do I also have to be physically present in India for the interview?

I do not have any idea about applying from india,but if you will physically present at interview time it will be good...its not necessary though..

Yes, I am a US citizen residing in USA (Sorry forgot to mention that!). I will be going to India for few weeks to get married and then will return to US.
I am planning to apply for GC for my spouse on Consular Processing and send the papers to INS. My question is, since my spouse is in India,
can I send the application to INS in USA or do I have to apply to INS in India only? Thanks to everyone for your reply.
 
you can apply by post to uscis imho.
uscis does not check where the post came from.
obviously you will be filing I 130 in the beginning, with your US address and your spouse' indian address.
