applying PR through marriage

Hello all,

I have a very basic question(please excuse me if its answered elsewere)..I'm wondering how long will it usually take to get a green card if a person gets married to a U.S citizen and will it matter for that person who received GC through the marriage gets divorced later in the future ..I mean is it going effect the green card he/she received through the marriage

it takes from several months to a couple of years, and yes, the divorce will affect it if it's a conditional GC.
