Applying for Visitor Visas for Parents while on EAD and Adjustment of Status (I-485)

My apologies for posting it here, but I am hoping some one would answer as this is busy section. Can some one Please tell me as to what documents are needed while one is on EAD and I-485 Process to invite Parents over on Visitor Visa. My H1 expired about 6months ago and I am on EAD now (it expires 4/31/01). Do I have to send a copy of EAD and also the expired H1 Papers (along with all the rest of the documents as I130, passport etc.). In case my EAD is expiring what would be the period of validity of their Visitor Visas (only till 4/31/01). Do I have to apply for extension when they come here? Thanks very much for your response.

I sent copy of 485 paper and a copy of EAD, alon with ..

1. Empl. letter
2. Affadavit
3. Bank satement
4. Tax return (99) -- optional
5. A letter to Consulate
6. An invitation letter to parents.

Hope this helps.

Did your parents get visa without any problems ?
Did the consular official say they may be prospective
immigrants ? Some people get rejected for this reason.

I dont think you need to go through all this. You have to send Affidavate of Support saying that you wish to invite the following persons to visit you You take the financial responsibility and send them back to the origin country . In case of any mishappening (death etc) you are responsible for the cremation. Get this Notrasied. Your Parents should just say that they want to visit their son. They should have something to show like property papers, job letter which guruntees their return.In the Support letter you shoud mention your name , ssn work address, job title and salary . I did the above and my parents got the visa .

Thanks all for the info. I had sent the following, and I just received info that they got the Visa:
1. my entire passport copy
2. Letter from the employer
3. Bank statement (on the Banks letterhead)
4. I130, Affidavit of support - notarized
5. Recent pay stubs
6. Tax return - 1999
7. EAD copy and Drivers Licence copy
8. Letter inviting my parents over

My parents took service letter from their employer, tax returns and property documents.

I recently sent a week back. They are yet to go to consulate. Are you saying there may be problems as we are potential immigrants??. Bcoz 485 stage clearly indicates the same. Is there something else we should do?
