Applying for Visa to travel to india

Hi - I recently got my us passport, but i want to travel to india immediatly and then do the renunciation and oci things from india.
I want to stay there for atleast 6 months, what kind of visa I can apply? please suggest.

Thank you Ram. Did you renounced Indian citizenship first before apply for India entry visa?

Entry visa -You mean e-tourist visa?

I also wanna get entry visa and then apply OCI in India(thinking Indian citizenship can also be renounced while apply for OCI there).

Yes, renounciation of indian citizenship is must. For entry visa, we need to submit, renounciation certificate.
