Applying for tourist visa

Hi ,

My mother's visitor visa was rejected four times with LAST REJECTION stamp in SEPT/2003. For almost six years, we have NOT tried reapplying.

Thinking about reapplying now. Do you guys recommend contacting some agencies who help in paper preparation ? I checked on murthy.com, they have a office in Chennai for helping with document preparation.

Any suggestion is welcome !

If you use outside assistance, please use only an attorney and not a travel agent. Too many people report that parents have received inappropriate advice from agents.

In my opinion, B-2 applicants do not need an attorney nor an agent. Even if one has been rejected multiple times, a DS-156 is a very simple form to fill in. An agent or lawyer does not help in overcoming 214(b) anyway. So no point in my honest opinion.

i need ur advice on this issue.a close friend was denied a DV lottery some yrs back.she now wants to apply for a visiting Visa.the problem now is this,on this DS 156 form,there seems to be no provision/options to question 31(have u been denied a Visa before).could any suggest how best to fill out the form?kindly reply email layraymore@yahoo.com.tanx

If you were denied an immigrant visa, answer yes on the DS-156.
