Hello all,
I am sending the petition for my parents this week. I have prepared 2 sets of I-130 for each of my parents. I am enclosing my birth certificate, my parents' marriage certificate, 2 seperate checks for $185.00 each and putting them in the same envelop. Am I missing anything? I dont need to enclose their birth certificate, do I?

Since I live in WV I am sending these to VSC. My parents live in Bangladesh, anyone here with experience in doing this process in BD?

Any suggestion or input will be appreciated.
Thanks

Marriage Certificate

Hello,

I am applying for my father; he does not have a Marriage Certificate. Do you know if there is any other alternatives? Please let me know.

thanks

Hi pinto19,

Just FYI, I found this site about I-130. It lists more documents than what is required on USCIS website. Not sure whether you should follow it or not.

A question for you: about the birth/marriage certificate, did you translate them yourself and have them notarized? If yes, could you post the sample format?

Thanks!
Thanks for the link, I will look at it tonight.

About the Birth/Marriage Certificate: I had my parents get them from Dhaka City Corporation in Bangladesh. It was already in English. My parents have the original, they sent me a copy and that's what I am enclosing. I had a similar one sent for me when I did my GC processing thru marriage.
They also sent me a Notorized copy of their marriage certificate that was also done in English. Again my parents have the original and I am sending a copy with I-130.
