Applying for my wife

I am U.S. citizen and residing and working out of the country for more than 5 years. Would like to apply for Green Card for my wife. Just wondering if I need to to go back to U.S and take a job as the requirment or not?

...doing consular I130 filing. you probably ned to show a primary residence in the US (?)...not sure.

Not required...However when you fill in the affidavit of support I-864 since you would not have filed taxes during those 5 years you will have to find a joint sponsor who has domicile in the US....
