Applying for L2 visa from U. K while visiting

Hi

I am on an L1A visa and I want to apply an L2 for my to be wife. Currently I am on a business visit to the U. K and I intend to bring her to the U. K on a U. K visit visa. Can she go to the US consulate in London and apply for her L2 visa or would she have to take it from India itself (asking this since I don't have much vacation to stay back in India and apply for 2 visas for her)?

Please advice if anybody has an idea regarding this.

I would advise your wife to apply for her L-2 in the country she normally resides in.
