Applying for L1 VISA when H1 petition is approved

Dear Sir

I have a query regarding the filing of L1 VISA while H1 petition is filed
Currently I am in India and also when the H1 was applied I was in India.This year - 2008 , I applied for H1-B and my petition got
picked up in the lottery,it is from employer X, I havenot gone
for stamping as such.

Now I am currently employed by employer Y who is interested in
filing L1 for me due to a sudden requirement.If I go for L1 stamping,will it be a problem at a later date to stamp the H1 from employer X.

Also I want to go for the H1 stamping from employer X at a
later date, will this be a problem for the H1 stamping.

Also while applying for L1 application form do I need to
mention this H1 petition number that has been filed but not
stamped.

Because my current employment might be at stake if I do that.
What all details needs to be filled up with the DS-156 ( do i
need to fill the H1 petition details here ).The DS-156 tells asks about the VISA details only , it didnt say anything about the petition.

Appreciate if you can help me with this.

L1 to H1 changed ,but still can i work in L1?

Hi Pls anyone help me out..Am currently working for A company in L1, but changed my status to H1b to B company 2 months back.But still am working in A company since i didnt get any jon from B company. Is that technicaly correct?.What will happen to my H1b status now.I prefer to work for A company since its a nice opputunity and a 1 yr contract. Or shal I quit A company and try out for H1b jobs??
Secondly as my husband is GC I wish to apply for dependent GC..will there be any issue in filing since i am in L1 although changed my status to H1..

if you got I-94 with H1 approval, it's not technically correct to keep working for L1 company after H1 start date.

Appying for GC under L1 or H1 is fine, but if your spouse already has GC in hands, you may not get dependent GC. You might fall under family base category. Since the details are missing about your and your spouse's GC situation, I cannot answer very specifically on your case.
