Hi Rajiv Sir,
In our earlier conversation from community conference you had mentioned that while I wait on my h1 221 g to be cleared (which I got for client letter) I can apply for h4 on my spouses h1 as a dependent.
So I went ahead and filled out the ds 160 form for h4, but when I go to the us visa scheduling portal I am unable to open a new application and the only option I have is to close and start a new application. When I reached the customer support they had mentioned that I cannot apply for another visa while there is a pending visa and that I’ll have to withdraw my h1 before applying for h4 which is very confusing as I’ve seen a lot of forums where people applied for h4 and had travelled back while pending h1 (which is same as suggested by you).
1) Now I’m worried if I go ahead and schedule an appointment by closing and starting new application will that mean I had withdrew or closed the existing h1 application (and would that mean h1 is automatically rejected)?
2) Are there any other options to apply for a new type of visa without closing or withdrawing the current pending h1?
3) What is the process of withdrawing a visa application at the consulate (should it be done by employer or the applicant)
4) I had got my 221g for client letter but surprisingly in the follow up emails from kccfpu they only asked for my employment details with my employer and vendor. So do you suggest I walk in and submit the client letter/msa at the consulate or write an email and submit them (even if they did not ask explicitly in the emails but only mentioned on the pink 221g forum)?
