Applying for H1 while F2 pending

Hi,
My OPT expired in Jan '07, I have just applied for my F2 this week. I also have a job offer and my employer would like to file for my H1 on april 1st. Now the problem is, I am not sure if I will get my F2 in hand before April 1st. Is it okay for me to apply for H1 while my F2 is pending? If someone can advise me, it would be great.

Yes you can apply your H1 while your f2 is pending but you must mention it in the application form attach a receipt copy of F2
