Hello Jim and other Gurus,
I have a valid H1-B visa till March 2002. I got Visa stamp in Sept 2001.
Because of slow down in the US economy ,my employer is not willing to
take me to the US immediately.
He is saying that he will try to get extension for me while i am in India itself. And he told that he will apply for extension to the INS with a request letter saying that " because of slow down i delayed bringing him to the US , and now i got project ,so i need this professional....".
Now my doubt is can an employer file extension petetion like this.
If so , after he applied ,and before i get extension, can i go to the US (ofcourse within visa expire date i.e before march 2002).
Pl kindly help me out from this situation...
