applying for EAD with Tax identification number

IS IT POSSIBLE TO APPLY FOR EAD USIN THE TIN NUMBER IE THE TAX IDENTIFICATION NUMBER,PLEASE ANSWER
 
Sure, If you do not have either EAD or H1 you are not supposed to have a soc sec #. Use TIN instead

 
 
This is what the IRS states when it issues you a ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number)...

"Your ITIN is not a Social Security Number (SSN). It is for income tax purposes ONLY."
This clearly means that the ITIN cannot be used for any purpose other than filing taxes.

Is your case approved without any problem for using TIN number while filing I485, did you use this number in the column given to fill SSn# of your wife? Please let me know, Thanks
