Applying for Ead at local office. Please help

Hi all,

I will apply for my 3rd Ead next week in Charlotte since my case was transferred on 9/24/04. Can I go ahead and apply for it or wait to give them some time to get my case at their office from TSC? The second question I have is will Charlotte send me a reciept date like TSC does when they get my application?

Charlotte is under TSC jurisdiction.

EAD is filled to SErvice Center not Local Office *,
so Don't wait.......... file EAD get receipt quickly. if they won't issue to any reason and 90 days passed of ur RD/ND, u have EAD-receipt just walkin Charollte office /local office and claim interm EAD.

Note: my understanding is EAD is filled to Processing Center under jurisdiction where u live. not local office directly. but double confirm with ur attorney about it. don't take risks just becz u learned on this fourm.

No. The EAD and AP are always filed where the I-485 is. Since it's been transferred to Charlotte, Charlotte is the place to file it. Filing at TSC would just add an extra 30 days to the total time since they would need to transfer it to Charlotte.

Once you have a transfer notice, make a copy and attach that to your I-765 application to prove the case is at Charlotte. That should be sufficient.
