Applying for citizenship while on a TD Visa

Hi,

My wife is a Permanent Resident of Canada and planning to apply for her Canadian Citizenship. Also, she is on a TD visa while I am working in the US. She has been traveling between Canada and the US.

Does the days she spent in the US on a TD visa count for the Canadian Citizenship physical requirements?
 
1. Does the days count while in Canada before she got her PR for Canada?

2. Is there any procedure that I can take which might help to reduce the physical requirements?

-- Yes. Count every day as half a day while she was legally in Canada before getting her PR status. The max credit you can get this way is 1 year.

Yes you may attempt to convince both the upper and lower house to pass a bill allowing to change the citizenship requirmenents. Barring that, no.
