On the N400 instructions it is mentioned a GC holder can file for citizenship (N400) 3 months prior to completing the 5 year residency. However on the N400 itself (not the instructions) there is no mentions of that... So I have a couple of really dumb
questions
[1] Part 2: Should I select the "have been a LPR of the US for the last five years" or "other" (basically saying I've been a LPR for 4 yrs, 9 mo..).
[2] Part 7. Questions A/B: When asked how many trips I took in the past 5 years (and for how many days), should I include the period prior to getting the GC? Technically it's within the 5 years... (it's not going to make a major change in terms of eligibility, just not going to be consistent with the list of trips they ask to list in question C ).
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
