Hello.

I am in the process of applying for citizenship but heard that the process takes long and I need to visit my family for 2 months oversea. Can I apply for re-entry permit the same time I am applying for citizen because I need to fly ASAP after the permit come in.

What should be the good idea? fly oversea first, come back and then file N-400?

I am a green card holder for 10 years. Is it more faster to get the citizenship through immigration lawyer?

I read about re-entry permit and it say that only need if the person is staying outside the US over a year. does this mean if I'm only going for 2 months, I don't need a permit? If not, then what form or documents do I use?

Thank you.

you don't need a re-entry permit for traveling out of US for 2 months. You are better off filing N-400 after you return.

It is not faster to get the citizenship thru a lawyer. It is processed on the first-come-first-serve basis . A lawyer can
only help you better prepare your case to file. You don't need
a lawyer if you have nothing complicated
