Hey Guyz,

I am looking for to obtaining a study permit for Canada. I just had a few concerns about the application process. I have been trying but was unable to get any kind of assistance through the telephone or email from any official of the Canadian embassies through out the United States. I am currently in the United States but am not a U.S citizen, but I would to obtain a Student Visa or a Study Permit so that I can get a college degree from Canada. I am aware of the fact that US has Candian Visa Offices in NY, Buffalo, Los Angeles, Seattle, Washington D.C and Detroit. If you could please answer the following questions I would really appreciate it.

1. Do I have to mail in the application and required documents for the Visa and the Study Permit before hand? Or can I make an appointment for an interview and bring the application and all the documents required on the date of my interview?

2. Would it be acceptable if I pay my application fees online and print out the receipt for confirmation?

3. I have been living in the United States for the past few years but am a citizen of Bangladesh. So I was wondering if it is required for me take a medical exam to obtain the study permit.

4. My passport is set to expire on May 20th 2010. Would that impose any problem for my study permit?

5. Am I required to obtain documents showing that I have already made payments for my tuition or residence before the interview for the study permit? Or would a bank statement with sufficient funds and a letter of acceptance be enough?

I have been seeking the answers for these questions regarding my application but been unable to find any answers by phone. If you could please answer me these questions it would be a great deal of help.

Thank You
