Applying for Canada PR during GC process

Hi,

I have read various opinions here but I am not sure whats the final verdict ... Will applying for Canadian PR affect an ongoing US GC process? Is it legal to do so? Can anyone with experience please confirm ...

Yes, you can do that without a problem. When you are not yet a US PR there is no restriction against becoming a PR of another country. It only becomes a potential problem if you try to maintain PR status of both countries after approval.

Applying for both statuses, no problem.
Maintaining both statuses simulataneously in the long run, more or less impossible.
