Hello Mr. Khanna,

I am a US Citizen and if I say I marry someone in India and that person needs to be in India for the next few years for her family.
Can I sponsor her visitor visa (B2) after our marriage (in India) ?
Will it cause any issues for her to get the B2 visa in India? She has her job and her daughter and family back in India and she wants to travel to the US intermittently for the next few yrs. Once she's ready after a few yrs I want to file her Green card to permanently move here..
Please let me know if there will be any complications.

a. What happens if her B2 is rejected ?
b. will that hamper her permanent residency application ?
Please advise.

You can’t sponsor someone else for a visitor’s visa. It is self sponsored.
a. If the visitor’s visa application gets denied, it means the person cannot visit the US as a visitor.
b. It generally shouldn’t, (depending on the reason for the denial, of course).

Rajiv -- by support I meant if I provide the financial support documentation (for the trip and the expenses during the duration of stay) since I will be the husband. Is that possible.?

You can provide your spouse with the documentation, there's no guarantee the CO will take a look a them.

p.s. I am not Rajiv.
