Applying for another TN after working in US under TN for ~5 years

Hi all,

I worked in the US for roughly about 5 years under TN status (Canadian citizen here), I left my job there earlier this year and moved back to Canada, now I am considering accepting an offer from another company in the US. I will have to obviously apply for TN again, however I am a bit worried since I have read conflicting information online about TN visa and how long someone can stay in the US under it. I know that there is no limit to how many times you can be granted TN but I read online about people saying that CBP might not let things go so smooth if someone has already spent a few years in the US in TN status.

This is causing me a lot of anxiety when it comes to accepting this offer- what do you think? I have not breached any TN rules and have no intent to apply for a Green Card (and did not pursue it while working there) but do you think CBP might look less favorably on my application and it have a higher chance of not being approved just due to the fact that I have already worked 5 years in the US under a previous TN with another company?

The fact that you had TN, finisished TN and then left US is proof positive that you are not going to disobey immigration rules. There is absolutely no time limit on living in US on TN, in fact the longer you stay on TN, the more proof you provide that you do not intend to immigrate, which is the only thing that you inadmissible.
Forget the hearsay. CBP does not deny entry for valid TN applicatants. They grumble perhaps, so their Trumper friends can pat them on the back, but they let you in.
