Applying for a Green Card - clarified with more detail

Hi

I have a quick question.
I have a cousin here is the United States who is an American Citizen and his wife is a green card holder/becoming American Citizen. I am a Canadian Citizen, so are my parents. Currently I work in the US on a TN visa.

I am related to my cousin as follows:
Our fathers are brothers.
Our mothers are sisters.
We have the same last name.

Is it possible for my cousin to sponser me for a green card (achive immigration)? Or is it only immediate family?

Thanks

Your parents (assuming they are US citizens - not clear from your posting) can sponsor for your green card .. Your queue would be based on whether you are under 21 (it would take approx 2-3 years) or over 21 (would take approx 5-6 years).

I am not sure if your Uncle or Aunt can sponsor you directly. They could sponsor their siblings, but that takes about 12-13 years presently.

best of luck

I have edited my post to be more detailed and accurate. Maybe this will help clarify things.
