I'm almost at 900 days, and still no interview scheduled. Fingerprints will expire in about 6 weeks. 4th EAD application will be sent in a couple of weeks, I'm assuming to TSC. My wife's case is still in TSC, and has not yet been transferred to Miami, I doubt it ever will be. My plan is to go to Miami office and remind them about my case by the end of the month. Not sure if this will help, but at least I can expend some of my anxiety on them, and maybe it'll make me feel better. (its sort of like free I-485 psychological therapy)
I am starting to get skeptical that I'll get approved before January 2005, which would be 999 days.

where did u apply for EAD..

my file got transfered o Losangeles, CA office. I need to apply for my 2nd EAD in 2months. Do I need to apply to LA office

jbgc,

you need to send your application to local office where your i-485 is now. i sent mine to tx before i know the case got transfered and they transfered the ead application to local. we sent my wife's directly to local.

please advice

Hi POJ and everybody

I replied to the RFE and it was acknowledged 8/17 but till now i have not heard anything from ins. My EAD expires in 2/10/2005 and I am not sure if I should apply for my 3rd one now or wait a little bit. Any advice on this?

case transferred?

AT what point is teh case transferred to local office.
My info are:
RD Aug 01
ND Sept 01
2nd FP July 04
RFE ack July 04

Nothing yet.

I do not understand the case transferred issue? So my case will be transferred to Louisiana (where I live) before it gets approved? So I need to call the TSC or somewhere in Louisiana? I am so confused. I still don't understand the whole process after being in it for more than 3 years.
Thanks.

hmcis,
Only the unlucky few (about 25% - 30% these days, it used to be about 10%-15% in 2002) of people seem to get transferred to local offices, either for an interview, or to speed up processing. This seems to be USCIS's way of reducing the backlog at the service centers, and simply transferring the backlog to the local offices, and thus creating a backlog there instead.

Lucky for you, you're not one of us people who got transferred, since I noticed your case just got approved, and you've already been waiting for so long.
