Applying for 2nd RTD

I'm applying for my second RTD (the old one expired) .

I noticed on the new 1-131 Application for Travel Document form, it asks you for the date of issuse of the previous RTD and disposition (attached, lost, etc).

Should I send the DHS an original copy of my previous RTD or are photocopies acceptable?

what are you going to do with the old expired one? Send it back with ur application.

What if it gets lost? (I feel a lot more comfortable sending them a copy)

send it through registered email..signature upon delivery! If it gets lost so will your application..you will file another one stating it was lost...big deal!
