Apply Temperary Ead

Thanks in advance for your helps.

My friend filed her EAD and I-485 in March this year. Per AVM, a reference was generated on 09/26, she talked to IIO a couple times, but still hasn't got the notice.

The question is: could she still go to INS local office to apply the temp EAD even though a reference is generated???!

She should go. Most probably she will find out what this RFE is about at the least. She should take 2 sets of photographs, EAD receipt and I485 receipt along with her. If the RFE is based on these documents (I cannot think of anything else. Maybe she can guess what the RFE is all about), she can submit the relevant documents and plead for an interim EAD.
The nearest district office is the best bet, but she can start at the local INS office also.
