Apply OCI in US and collect in India

I was just wondering if it would be possible to apply for an OCI here in the US but recieve it in India ?

In theory, anything should be possible but I have not seen anything in the OCI forms where you can even specify that you want to receive your OCI docs at any place other than the consulate/embassy you applied to. Even on this forum, where just about everything related to OCI is discussed, I haven't seen anything talked about on this topic.

In the application, you dont have a choice for the receiving. so you'll have to receive from where you have applied to. The OCI Sticker (Lifelong Visa) & the OCI Card (Mini Passport like) will be sent to the corresponding consulate from New Delhi upon OCI grant

Did you mean if you can apply while physically being here and receive the passport while in India?
If so, the answer may be Yes. You can complete the online portion (select the FRRO in India), send them the draft and papers. They would send it back to the address in India.

Do you mean mail the initial packet to the Ind consulate in the US and then collect from the ministry in India? I don't thinkt they work that way.
