Applied for OPT in July - Texas

I applied for OPT on July 7 and got a receipt date of July 10. Has anyone applied around same time and got approved? I have a job offer and need to start ASAP. Don't know how long my employer will wait.

I kept a start date of August 1 on my OPT application and I am assuming that the start date will be changed to the date when it gets approved. Is that right?

U will get an idea about the timeline of folks who have had their OPT approved in the past month.

Also, once u get your OPT please update the tracker for other students' info.

long time to go

I think it will take long time for you. My RD is June 8 and still not approved. I know people who are from the same school and their RD after mine and got approved. It has to deal with more than your RD or school.

If u'r RD is June 8'th contact the USCIS. According to the OPT tracker people with later dtaes have been approved.
