Application number for 485 from National benefits center

I dont have a receipt notice for 485. My employer is not giving me anything. If I call National customer service center, will they tell me whether there is an application on my name? What info do they need to give out my receipt notice application number? Thanks. The answers you provide will be of great help to me.
 
This is very strange that your Employer is not willing to give you a copy of I-485 recepits and moreover I-485 is applicant's filing and not employer's. You have every right to know your EAC # so that you can check the status of your application on official USCIS website.

Try to ask employer one more time your EAC # or else escalate this request into your company at higher level. USCIS always needs EAC # to find the status of your case. I am not sure if they go by any other information for checking the status.
