Hello, I have been offered a job from a US based Oil refining company to work as a Chemical Engineer in an Optimization Supply Chain role in California. I have 8+ years of Chemical Engineering experience in Canada, with both Bachelors and Masters degree in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering obtained from Canada. I have gone through the USCIS website and visited the border. I had taken with me the following: Bachelors and Masters Certificate, Offer Letter, Canadian Citizenship Certificate. However they asked me for a Support letter addressed to USCBP on a company letter head with education credential, salary, term of employment, job description/role summary and TN category. Can someone please help me in regards to this process.

Thank you,
Fariha

The border asked you for what is referred to as a "TN letter", what was asked is essentially what needs to be in the letter (the company does not have to supply your education credentials in the letter; you supply that at the border encounter-- yours are fine,)

A typical job offer does not have sufficient information listed above, so it is always best to have sponsor prep a separate letter.
