Hello everyone,
I am about to apply for cititzenship, but want to make sure that I am not raising any red flags with the data I include in my application. In particular I have a question concerning Part 6 of the application for naturalization (Information about your residence and employment).
Some background info:
I am a Greencard Holder and have "activated" my permanent resident status with a travel to the U.S. in Sep 2003. Thereafter, I returned to my home country to continue my work and to prepare my emigration, but travelled to the U.S. in Feb 2008 and Jul 2008 (so both trips to my home country were for less than 180 days). On Jan 5, 2005 I finally moved to the U.S. and worked and lived here ever since.
In the application, I will have to include that I have been working for a company in my home country and at the same time would have to include my address in my home country in order not to contradict myself (address in the U.S. and workplace overseas would not really make sense). I have a bad feeing about this since my permanent residence should be the U.S. and the address I filed with the INS was a U.S. address at this time since this was a requirement to obtain and to activate the greencard.
Do you see any problems here or am I the normal case?
Your resonses are highly appreicated!
Thanks.
Max
