Apointment in Chicago

Hey, my wife has an appointment at the local chicago INS office to show her docs to get her EAD renewal (took about 2.5 months total). The appointment is at 9:15am. I have heard about horrendous lines starting at 7am there...does my wife have to stand in line at 7am with the rest of the crowd or can she walk up to the front door guard at say 8:30-9am and show her green appointment letter?
 
There is a special line....

Well there is a special line for appointmnets...Jut go in the INS Building and show the app letter to the security guard they will let her in..
