AP validity period

1) What is the validity period granted? Do you normally get what you ask for? Does the validity date start from the date of issuance?

2) Can we normally get multiple entries if we request that? Has anyone asked for multiple entries but only granted single entry?

Mine second one was just approved. It was issued from the day it was approved for 1 year. They did not do it concurrently like I asked. I asked for multiple entry and I received 3 AP.
