Hi Guys,

I have ONLY ONE ORIGINAL set of AP document ( valid till July 13th 2004 ) that has ALREADY BEEN STAMPED ONCE at Chicago (POE) during my last travel to India in Dec 2003.

1) Can I leave the US and return safely of this AP ( stamped once as mentioned ) before July 13th 2004 ?

2) Does it really matter if AP has already been stamped before.... as long as the duration of the document is valid?

I will appreciate responses from you all.....specially guys who have made multiple travels outside US on AP and entered the US using their SAME AP again & again ...preferably at POE ( Point of Entry ) being Chicago...

Awaiting your replies & does/dont's ..if any...I am planning to leave US by 20th June,04 & be back around 5th Jul04.

Thanks all

Has anyone of you used "same AP document to enter US multiple times"?

Any problems? Please share your experiences.

If one AP is good enough, what you think is a logical reason of providing THREE set of AP by the USCIS?

Thank you

I used AP for 3 years, and every AP that I had was stamped several times. In my case, they attached a sheet to the original AP and kept stamping that since I had traveled so many times. No problem at all !!!

My wife entered the US via a land POE (Blaine, WA) with just one of the three AP docs. The immigration officer explained that she should have all three, one for the carrier (e.g. airline), one for POE's records, and one to be kept by the traveler after it has been stamped. Governments like triplicate forms, I guess. The immigration officer stamped the AP and took a photocopy of it for their records and let her back in. She has since traveled back and forth to Canada using the same stamped AP form without any issues.
