Jaxen,
You mentioned that the AP can be used for
trips abroad of any nature. Now, on my AP and that of
my wife, it says in the "remarks" space:
"trips allowed for valid humanitarian reasons".

What do you make of this? Can she travel
on a business trip? Or could she combine the business trip
with a visit to a family member? Please, give your
scenarios. At the port of entry, maybe she is going to be asked
about the travel purpose, because of that remark. What
does "valid" qualifier means?
Thanks,

Cezar

Right, when she enters US after the trip, she has to make a 30 minute multimedia presentation of the emergency she attended! Come on, lighten up.

The question still remains, what exactly consistutes "valid humanitarian reasons"? I realize that no-one gets asked, however these are the times when rules change before you know it...

The AP s I have received in the past 2 years says genuine personal or business reasons... Relax. Humanitarian reason is a flexible word. I had asked this question for an earlier Q similar to this one: If by visiting your home country , you preserve the sanity of your spouse , is that a humanitarian reason?? It is in the "eye of the beholder"....
