Hi,

Me and my husband are planning to go to India in Oct 2004 . I would be travelling on AP and my husband will be travelling on H1 .
We don't want to apply for any transit visas.
Can anyone please suggest which route is good then?

So far, going thru Amsterdam seems to be a good option . We are also planning to go out of the airport for sight seeing . Is that possible on AP ,if we travel via amsterdam?

please suggest..
thanks

AP transit VISA

best bet will be AI via France.
In layover at Paris, flight re-fuels .... AP passenger can remain inside....with no need for a Airport Transit VISA.....

If you leave the international transit lounge in any country you need a visa to pass through immigration and customs. There may be some countries which will issue a transit visa or a temp stay visa on arrival at the airport (which countries I don't know, a lot has changed in the past few years with recoprocity arrangements between countries). And there may be some countries that don't need visa for indian passport holders but Amsterdam (or Europe in general) does not fall in that category unless I am wrong... which I can be and have been many times.
