AP transit VISA question?

Q) Did any of you recently travelled to India through Amsterdam OR London OR DUBAI, using Advance Parole & EAD documents?

Q) I heard that a transit VISA is required, even if we donot leave the airport? Is that a true statement? Can some explain how to get it, if required?

Q) Mentioning son B'day is a good reason for getting an emergency AP, just incase if don't receive my 3 AP approval before then?

My situation, 6yrs H1 time over, 485 pending, 3 EAD& AP pending..Just worried as I need to visit India for my Sons B'Day & 2AP expires next month..

So, you had to get transit VISA while travelling through India. Could you also mention the airline please. Thanks!

if you are travelling through London& frankfurt you need atransit visa. For London visa they insist upon sending all Original documents (H1, AP ,etc) Old passport copies. it is taking 8-10 days to get by mail. In our case, they forgot to send back some of our documents & one of the passport & I had to call back.It scared the hell out of us untill they traced the originals which was misplaced with some one else's. So I strongly advice, if you can go in person, it is more safe.
if you are living in NY german consulate area they don't insist on transit visa& they will also send you an e-mail showing the fact,.
all other german consulates are insisting on transit visa . It will take around 4-5 days to process. check with your consulate whether to send original. chicago people are okay with notarized copies of H1 ,& all other documents. from sept 1st you may have to go in person to get a german visa. As far as air india concerned they are clueless about german requirements.but insist on UK visa. don't know about french visa. many have travelled without any transit visa through amsterdam by NW.
in all cases if you can go in person, you can get it done within a day .
