Hi,

   Spoke to an IIO and was told that my AP was approved but my husband\'s AP application generated an RFE. What could the RFE be for? Also the AVM is not updated yet. Could some one please give me a timeline of their AP RFE experiences? (When AP RFE received? how long it took for receipt of response to RFE - to be updated at INS? when finally adjucated?).

   My details: PD Jan 2000; WAC-01-284-XXXXX; RD Aug 10th; EB3.

Are you sure of an RFE?

There was a thread on this board sometime back where-in one applicant had the letters RFE in red at the bottom of AP approval.

On further investigation, he/she discovered that actually it was the initials of the officer who handled their case. So, there is an officer at INS whose initials are RFE !!!!
 
IIO told me about RFE

I also remember reading about the letters RFE on AP approval. But I
was told about the RFE by the IIO when I called to ask about AP
status. I don\'t have anything in hand.

RSM:AVM updated..they approved for my wife and kid, they sent RFE for me

so funny..pl let me know ur stuff..

I received my AP approval notice in mail yesterday. AVM says approved
for me and RFE for spouse. Will check again with lawyer on monday
morning about the RFE. Do you know if they send the RFE to us or the
lawyer?

Lawyer said the RFE asked for copy of marriage certificate, I94/H1 status.

Lawyer said they would be sending response this week.
 
RSM:who is Principal applicant??U or ur wife??did U forget to add these MC/H-1/I-94??

did U get a copy of RFE from ur lawyer??if so what it says??

I am the primary applicant and my husband is the derivative. No, I did
not get the copy of the RFE yet. This is what the lawyer told me. I
think the lawyer did not attach these docs to the AP application, he
attached those docs to the 485 application only I think.

RSM:today my lawyer recd RFE..its for 2 Photos..sent by certified mail

did U already mailed ur RFE??if so did U use Fed Ex or certified mail??they sent one official envolpe with that RFE
