AP renewal

My AP expires mid october. How long before expiry is it advisable to file for renewal?

I-485 Sep 2001 PD
NC and FP done
Pending at TSC after transfer from VSC

File about 120 days before expiry.

On the same note I filed mine on 06/05, and it was approved today.. i.e. 06/19..

Wow, that was some lightening fast approval. Where did you apply? VSC or TSC. I am planning to apply for one soon since I have lost hope of getting my GC anytime soon. My AP expires mid next month

May I ask you why you filed with VSC when your 485 was transfered and pending at TSC?
