AP renewal questions

It is time to renew my AP. I never used AP before, what should my put in "class of Admission"? Since my attorney did the application the first time and this time I am going to do it myself, I have no idea what I should stress in the cover letter. Could someone give me some hints or a sample? TIA.

One lawyer posted that Class of admission should be “how did you last entered in US” if you entered on H1B last time then write H1B if entered on H4 write H4
Other lawyer says write AOS. It confuses many.

** I will write H1 or H4 and look at the last stamp on my passport for CLASS admitted XXXXX and will write that AND on cover letter I will explain that my I-485 is pending (provide the I-485 # and A#) and will also write that my latest entry to US was on H1 or H4 on date XYZ and POE was CCCCCCC that will clear all.
** also write on the cover letter that you need to visit your old parents or vacations( they dont care for the reason for AP the reason can be anything)
