Ap renewal and I-94

My Wife travelled on Ap last year. got I94 which is valid till sept 2002. Applied for renewal of Ap. Do i need to apply for extention of I94 seperately or will i get it automaticaly with new AP or donot require it? Anybody in similar positon or exp?
 
there is nothing like I94 extension

I94 is a like a tracker document issued by INS at the POE which you are supposed to submit while going out next time.
Just make sure that you apply for a new AP before travel. Get a new I94 based on new AP while coming back.

I am surprised by the lack of knowledge from somebody who has travelled so far in the immigration wagon.
