I am applying for AP, as it seems 485 is not going to be approved in near future.

In form I-131, what could be best to write for part-7:
"how you qualify for Ap and what circumstances warrant issunance of AP"

- Really my intention of applying for AP is to visist india some time in Aug. Do I need any docs to support?

Any feed back/ answer will be acknowledged with thanks and appreciation.

This is asking you for a letter to explain your qualification for AP. You do not have to be specific about the reasons. Just tell them you have plan to travel to India in August, and would like to have the AP to allow you return to the States.

You do not need to attach any extra supporting document except those required, such as I-485 receipt copy.

It worked for me when I applied for AP renewal in the Boston INS office last week.

Here is a sample ...

To Whom It May Concern:

I am currently an applicant for adjustment of status. My I-485 application for adjustment to permanent residency is filed and pending with INS Vermont Service Center.

I plan to visit my parents in <country name> on <date>, and return on <date>. I would like to have advance parole to ensure my return to the United States.

Thank you for your consideration.
