AP question?

Hello all,

Me and my wife have applied for I-485, She wants to go visit India for a month or so. My question is can she apply for AP here and go to India. And later can I mail it to her so she can use it to return? . Pls reply if some one knows if it is ok.

as far as I know you can't

If its an emergency you can get the AP same day from a local BCIS.

Hi, I was in the same situation.........except that I had to attend 2 important weddings back home....I contacted local Senator and they expedited the process............It's advisable to have AP in hand before u leave this country.........I 've heard a few people say that they mailed it to India after being approved, but that's a dicey situation....what if BCIS delays ur processing due to its erratic way of working...........it's ur own decision............I think u should wait and get ur AP!!
