I am also thinking about using AP in July to go home. My AP will expire in mid october.
What other documents should I carry for travel. I heard from a friend that he was stuck in Dubai airport for 2 hours because his airlines didn't know what AP was and they wanted to see his visa. Later he showed them his EAD and the idiots recognize it as GC and told him why he didn't tell them he is GC holder. He just kept quiet and they let him aboard plane.
Has anyone experinced any issues like that with airlines.
Please let me know if I should call airlines before flying to make sure they understand what AP is? Is that a good idea.
 
I am scared too.. I will be travelling to US by Emirates airlines on June 5th on AP. I dont know what problems I would come across with . Should I find out about this AP stuff from the local airlines office before boarding the flight...??????

If you call airlines then please post your findings here. I have not decided which airlines yet , so if you can call emirates and find out .That will be very helpful
 
FYI

My wife travelled recently to India via Emirate Airlines and re-entered U.S. using AP. She did not have any problems what so ever, at the POE or with the airlines.
 
my travel experience with AP

I, with my family went to Australia last month. While coming back the airlines ( Air NewZealand) people asked about visa and we showed the copy of AP...No problems. Please carry atleast two copies of AP with you.
