Hello,

What is the maximum time one can spend outside US
with a valid AP while the Green card is approved after departure from US?
Appreciate your answers.

until the expiry date in the AP.

Generally AP holders will be subjected to secondary inspection and will be given a very small time period in which time you have to go to the local INS and get the 551 stamp. So dont be surprised if the AP-I94 is not valid till its expiry date.
