AP Question

Hi

I have a question regarding AP procedure. My current AP is valid till 29Jan,2005 and I am planning to apply for renewal very soon. I think the new renewed AP will be valid from 30Jan,2005.

If I plan going on vacation from 15Jan till 15Feb, should we have to give both old and new AP while going out of US and use the new renewed AP to come back. Whats the AP procedure in this situation.

Please share your experience/thoughts, and clarification. Thanks in advance!

I do NOT know the answer to your question.

However, I know that there is NO guarantee that your "new renewed AP will be valid from 30Jan,2005".

It will be valid from the time of its approval, whatever that date may be...

I had read in one of the old postings some time back that you cannot travel if your AP application is pending, even though you have a valid unexpired AP.
Does anyone know if this is true.
If so, then you will have to wait till you get your new AP and then give only the most recent AP while entering..
Please correct me if I am wrong
